You must be a ...

You have all the answers,
still sometimes you are speechless.
You are worried, depressed, excited,
confident, contented and delighted.

You are a child, an adult, a preacher,
guilty, a realist, a dreamer,
conscious that little eyes are judging you
and unconsciously imitating you.

You have a responsibility to pass on
the traits like honesty and time management.
Have to set an example.
But you too are human!!

There is always a prayer
on your lips.
And the list goes on....
Hey...you must be a Mom

  9. Very nicely expressed, but I can swear that this poem was not there on your blog on thursday, as the date on your blog suggests :-)

Probably you had started to write this on thursday it self, and finished it by friday evening or saturday.

But like anonymous said, fathers are not far behind. Though me not a father yet :-)

  11. Hi Deepak.
Thanks for the adjectives...All this Zarranawzi does make my day.

I showed Gul's comment to my daughter (10 yr old)and told her that quotation
That God can not be with each child(physically) so He made Moms.
She laughed and said that this is exaggaration.
And then As RED said 'One has to be a mom to feel that way!

Hey Vandy, the poem reminds me of SRK 'Mere desh ki har maa aap jaisi hai' dialogue in Veer Zaara. I am sure what you wrote is as true of you .. as your mom.
